Entries are now open for the Walkley Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards.

Entries are open to all Australian journalists aged 26 and under, employed full-time or freelance, who have had work published or broadcast through Australian media outlets, including on-line publishers between 16 March 2011 and 16 March 2012.

There are five categories consisting of print, television, radio, online and photography.

The winner will receive a trip to visit the BBC in the UK and CNN in the US.

Entries close Friday 16 March 2012 at 5pm.
