The successful applicant will be trained as a broadcaster to take part in television sport coverage under a one-year training contract.
Applicants must demonstrate initiative, well-developed research, writing and communication skills and a keen interest in sport.
Applicants should have tertiary qualifications or substantial practical experience in journalism or a related field.
A suitable broadcast voice is essential.
The successful applicant will be able to work well in a team, take direction and work to deadlines.
The ABC is able to offer this initiative under an exemption from the Attorney General’s Department, under section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
