Alexei Popyrin into the final of the Montreal Masters

The Australian will face world number five Andrey Rublev in the final.

Australian Alexei Popyrin continues his career-best form, storming into the final of the Masters in Montreal.

He defeated American Sebastian Korda in straight sets, advancing to the final against world number five Andrey Rublev on Tuesday morning (AEST).

Following a tense first set tie-break win, Popyrin carried the momentum through the second set, winning 6-3.

This is another statement win for the Australian, who knocked out Polish world number four Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals.

Having made the semi-finals at the ATP 250 in Doha earlier this year, he is continuing his good form all the way into his first Masters 1000 final.
