Katharina Hackler has spent most of this past semester posing the hard questions to the rest of upstart’s editorial team for her audio series, Behind the magazine. But with the semester wrapping up, it’s finally her turn to be in the spotlight.

Kat is an international student from Germany who is completing her Master of Global Communications. Having gained years of experience working at radio stations in her home country, Kat applied her passion and extensive background in radio to produce some great audio episodes for upstart this semester.

This time, upstart’s sports sub-editor Khairun Hamid was entrusted with the microphone. Listen in as she quizzes Kat about her role at the magazine, her love for radio and why she will never be late to anything.
