Liam and Noel Gallagher have taken over the internet this morning, posting identical videos hinting at an Oasis reunion this week.
The brothers, who have been feuding since the band’s breakup, simultaneously tweeted a video on X this morning. Rumors had been swirling for a while before Liam Gallagher posted to his account over the weekend, teasing some big news.
“I never did like that word FORMER,” he wrote.
Then this morning both brothers posted a video with “August 27th, 8am” on the famous Oasis logo. It is likely the announcement will drop at 8am GMT (6pm AEST).
British tabloids have suggested the band have made a deal to tour together next year.
The band released its debut album, Definitely Maybe, in 1994 and it quickly became the fastest selling record in UK history at the time. They remained as one of Britpop’s biggest groups until their split in 2009.
Since then both brothers have released their own music and Liam Gallagher is currently on the Definitely Maybe 30 years tour with Oasis’ former guitarist Paul Arthurs (known as Bonehead). It’s unclear whether the other members of the band will return.
Fans eagerly await tomorrow, hoping the news they hear will leave them feeling Supersonic.
