Hawthorn leap into the top eight

The Hawks run of form continues and leaves them in the top eight with two rounds to go.

Hawthorn have moved into the top eight after a 74-point win over Carlton this weekend.

The Hawks kicked 13 goals to Carlton’s two after quarter time in a completely dominant win over the Blues.

Hawthorn’s successful second half of the season has seen seven wins out of their last nine matches. The Hawks started the season with zero wins and five losses.

If the young team reaches the AFL finals series, it will be the first time since 2018. The Hawks now have the second-youngest list in the league.

The Hawks will play Richmond and North Melbourne in their push for a finals campaign and will go in favourites for both of those games.
