LTU Wildlife Sanctuary’s emus the first to call a university campus home

Have you ever been up close to this large indigenous bird? The Ag did and we lived to tell the tale.

Three new emus made at Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary their home this April. This makes La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus the first and only university in an Australian city to home emus.

This week, Kim Vy Ngo from The Ag got up close to indigenous birds and interviewed the sanctuary’s operations manager, Olivia Swain, live in the media studio about the decision to bring the birds into the wildlife park.
