A 17-year-old girl has been charged with the murder of an 18-year-old man in Mildura over the weekend.
This comes after emergency services were called to a home on Limpidi Drive just after 1am on Saturday morning to find a man with a stab wound.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene but were unable to revive him. He has since been identified as Irymple resident, Seb O’Halloran.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined but [the] parties involved are known to each other,” police said in a statement.
The 17-year-old girl faced a court hearing yesterday afternoon and will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
The court heard it was her first time behind bars and that she needed to be seen by a custody nurse for cuts and bruises to her body.
CCTV footage and DNA samples will form part of the case against the teen.
