The 2011 Walkley Media Conference will be held in Brisbane on November 25-27.

Titled, What’s the story? Inventing the future, the theme of the conference is journalism and narrative.  Three days of workshops, masterclasses, discussions and international keynotes will end with the Walkley Awards dinner on November 27.

Discussion will include hearing from new players in the field: entrepreneurial journalists who have set up new ideas with new sources of funding as well as international thought leaders and top industry executives examining the options. Panels will delve into ways to help journalists and journalism survive and thrive in the new media landscape.

Artists, authors, journalists, online media-creators, screen-writers, film-makers and others will examine story-telling and defining new media for ourselves.
