Tracee Hutchison guest lecture this morning

Journalist, broadcaster, and writer Tracee Hutchison will join the Broadcast Journalist class as guest lecturer this morning at 9AM. Everyone is welcome to attend.

This morning, La Trobe University Journalism will host the second of two lectures this semester by journalist, broadcaster and writer, Tracee Hutchison

Tracee’s wide-ranging media roles span from reporter for ABC TV’s The 7.30 Report, opinion columnist for the Saturday Age, co-host of ABC TV’s music program ‘DIG TV’, scriptwriter and talent producer for SBS TV’s ‘Rockwiz’, Program Director and broadcaster at Melbourne’s premier community radio station 3RRR, JJJ announcer, series producer of SBS TV’s music program ‘nomad’ (that discovered ‘silverchair’ in a national demo competition) and field producer for the ‘Getaway’ travel program.

Tracee has worked on screen for every free to air Australian TV network and broadcast nationally for ABC radio – JJJ, ABC metro (Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin) and regional (Lismore) – including launching the national youth network JJJ in 1989 and hosting the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the 2000 Paralympic Games.

Tracee will join Monday’s Broadcast Journalism class at 9AM in the Hooper Theatre (F5 on this map) to talk about story development and packaging for broadcast. All students and staff are most welcome.
